7 Best US Museums to Learn About Women’s History

Ours started at the airport, included a few weather delays, and reminded me that traveling with kids doesn’t always go according to plan. But the payoff? Watching Austen’s face light up when she finally saw her very first castle.

Now, DMV families planning their own Québec City adventure have an even more convenient option. United is now offering nonstop service from Washington Dulles Airport to Québec City and that cuts down on travel time, giving you more time to make memories.

Have you ever visited Québec City? If not, this might be the sign you’ve been waiting for.

Whenever I’m Posed to be relaxing, my mind shifts Whenever I’m Posed to be relaxing, my mind shifts into full gear. It says, “Let’s review your to-do list, dissect that conversation from two years ago, brainstorm five new story ideas, remember the laundry, and plan next month’s content.”

I’m not sure if this is mom brain, entrepreneur brain, or just undiagnosed ADHD... but whenever I try to be still my mind never gets the memo.

Please tell me I’m not the only one. What actually helps you slow your brain down?
Sometimes, the best cure for bored kids is a road Sometimes, the best cure for bored kids is a road trip.

If you’re planning a road trip this summer, here are my top tips:

1️⃣ Use a spacious vehicle. Something with enough room so everyone is comfy.

2️⃣ Plan a few unexpected stops along the way. We love a great scenic overlook pit stop.

3️⃣ Don’t overpack your itinerary. Leave room for spontaneous adventures.

4️⃣ Let the kids help keep everyone entertained. On this trip, they were our DJs—which meant a lot of Michael Jackson sing-alongs.

What’s your family’s favorite road trip tradition or go-to road trip snack? Share it in the comments.

Travel expenses can add up quickly. Here are a few Travel expenses can add up quickly. Here are a few tips you use to help cut down on some of the cost on your next family vacation:

1️⃣ Consider not staying close to all the action. If you stay on the outskirts of a destination, it provides great savings since everything from accommodations, gas, and even groceries are cheaper the further away from tourist centers.

2️⃣ Decide on a budget before your trip and stick to it. I found that it’s easiest to stick to your budget when you use cash only. That way, you will know exactly when your well runs dry.

3️⃣ Stay in a vacation rental or any accommodation with a kitchen. This will help you cut back on the expense of eating out 3 meals a day. After we check-in, we usually go to a grocery store to pick up enough food for a few meals.

🌟BONUS: Avoid souvenir shops. Instead visit the local grocery or big box store to get more affordable souvenirs for your friends and family back home.

For the first time in a long time, we’ve been spen For the first time in a long time, we’ve been spending most of our summer close to home. And honestly? I’ve been learning that adventure doesn’t always have to mean hopping on a plane.

Sometimes it starts with saying yes to a drive.

Our first road trip of the summer took us to Williamsburg, Virginia, and getting there was part of the fun. We spent the weekend testing out the Mazda CX-70 Turbo S Premium Plus, and the smooth ride, panoramic moonroof, and comfortable seats made those miles fly by.

This car was niiiiiice!!

There are some days you know your kids will rememb There are some days you know your kids will remember forever… and the day we recently spent at Busch Gardens Williamsburg was one of them.

Austen officially graduated from the kiddie rides, the kids conquered their first real roller coasters, Grandma surprised us by joining the fun, and we wrapped it all up with some yummy barbecue!

If you’re looking for a family day trip this summer, add Busch Gardens Williamsburg on your list.

What’s the first roller coaster you ever rode?

Self-love looks different for everyone. For me, wh Self-love looks different for everyone. For me, when the world feels too loud and my spirit feels too heavy, I pack a bag and take a quick trip. St. Croix became my pause—a chance to unwind, decompress, and reflect on what’s next.

One morning, I put on some makeup, stepped into the sunlight, and had a little self-love photo shoot. Because sometimes you need to look at yourself—really see yourself—and remember the beauty, resilience, and fire within.

If you’re in a hard season, know this: you are not alone. Take the time you need. Be kind to yourself. And don’t forget to look in the mirror and say, “I’m still here. I’m still worthy.”
