How to Get Around with Small Children in Australia

    by Tykesha77 December 4, 2019

We recently took our first international family trip to Sydney, Australia!  When we arrived, our son was 4 years old and our daughter was 14 months old. Things to do in Washington, DC during a Government Shutdown

    by Tykesha77 January 8, 2019

Washington, DC is a great family vacation destination.  There are tons of activities that will entertain you and your children as you explore this great Metropolis. Unfortunately, some government agencies have had to close their doors due to a lapse in Federal funding.  The Smithsonian Museum and the National Zoo have been impacted but even though those two agencies are temporarily closed, there’s still plenty to do in the Nation’s Capital.     I have…

How to Apply for a Passport for Your Child

    by Tykesha77 March 20, 2018

As an avid single traveler – I have visited 13 countries across 5 continents. During my journeys, I met people that have changed the fabric of who I am.  Not only did I learn some of the nuances of other languages, cultures, and topographies, traveling abroad altered my view of them myself, the world, and my place in it. As far as I’m concerned, there’s no better education. And now that I’m a mother of…

I've found my content creation golden hour!!! It's I've found my content creation golden hour!!! It's 9 pm to 10 pm. After everyone in the house is asleep, all is quiet, and I can actually hear myself think.⠀
⠀
I've been trying for the last few months to have a "Miracle Morning" but for some reason, the mornings just ain't my jam. So, I switched things up a bit and blew my own mind!⠀
⠀
I'm amazed at the volume of work I can turn out with 1 hour of uninterrupted time. ⠀
⠀
When was the last time you blew your own mind? What did you do/accomplish?

Every day I like to push myself out of my comfort Every day I like to push myself out of my comfort zone. I do at least one thing that makes me feel uncomfortable and challenges me. Sometimes it's posing for pictures and other times it's emailing a pitch to a brand I love. ⠀
⠀
I've mentioned this before...but I really don't like to pose for photos. I feel awkward and self-conscious the entire time and end up acting goofy 🙃 to help deflect my nervous energy. ⠀
⠀
I ain't gonna lie and tell y'all that I've completely overcome my shyness, but I'm committed to showing up more this year. ⠀
⠀
Each time I work through that uncomfortable feeling and do the things that scare me, it motivates me to try something new the next day and the day after that. ⠀
⠀
What do you do to challenge yourself?⠀
