    by Tykesha77 October 18, 2019

Baltimore, Maryland is a city replete with charm and grit. When I think of this seaport city, I can almost smell frying crab cakes in the air, see visitors walking down the picturesque cobblestone streets of Fells Point, and hear the waves crashing along the Inner Harbor.  Baltimore can boast of a very long list of top-rated, must-see attractions…one of my top kid-friendly activities is the Maryland Zoo!  This Zoo is beloved by locals and…

    by Tykesha March 1, 2017

Hi, my name is Tykesha.  Wife.  Mother.  World Traveler.  Oh yeah, I’m also a writer and this is my first post for the Momma Wanderlust blog.  Even though, I am a writer by trade, it has literally taken me months to write this first blog.  I did some soul searching to understand why it has been so difficult for me to write about travel with my children and as a family.   While doing some…

I've found my content creation golden hour!!! It's I've found my content creation golden hour!!! It's 9 pm to 10 pm. After everyone in the house is asleep, all is quiet, and I can actually hear myself think.⠀
⠀
I've been trying for the last few months to have a "Miracle Morning" but for some reason, the mornings just ain't my jam. So, I switched things up a bit and blew my own mind!⠀
⠀
I'm amazed at the volume of work I can turn out with 1 hour of uninterrupted time. ⠀
⠀
When was the last time you blew your own mind? What did you do/accomplish?

Every day I like to push myself out of my comfort Every day I like to push myself out of my comfort zone. I do at least one thing that makes me feel uncomfortable and challenges me. Sometimes it's posing for pictures and other times it's emailing a pitch to a brand I love. ⠀
⠀
I've mentioned this before...but I really don't like to pose for photos. I feel awkward and self-conscious the entire time and end up acting goofy 🙃 to help deflect my nervous energy. ⠀
⠀
I ain't gonna lie and tell y'all that I've completely overcome my shyness, but I'm committed to showing up more this year. ⠀
⠀
Each time I work through that uncomfortable feeling and do the things that scare me, it motivates me to try something new the next day and the day after that. ⠀
⠀
What do you do to challenge yourself?⠀

The movie takes place in the famed Hampton House Motel, where all four men stayed at various times when they visited segregated Miami.
🌴
My family and I toured the hotel, and Iearned so much about its history. I share the experience on the blog.

But there’s something special about the composition. 💫 Maybe it’s the fact that my small child is looking up at a building that’s larger than life.
